See ya, 2016!

Categories // News

While a lot of crappy things happened in 2016, we want to take a moment to reflect on the positives. This was a really good year for Bike Tuff. We accomplished a lot of things that we never thought would happen.

We released Kamea, our second full length album with the help of our friends at Between the Days Records. Recording this album with Rick Johnson and Jacob Weston was one of the best experiences we’ve had as a band and we’re really proud of how Kamea turned out.

We also were featured on a number of rad comps, including those by Wiretap Records and Little Rocket Records.
New recordings are cool, but shows are even better. We were lucky to be able to spend a bunch of time with a lot of our good friends in various places in 2016. We ended up playing 30 shows and traveling over 8,000 miles as a band (that’s 1/3 of the way around the world, holy crap).

We hit the festival circuit hard and had the great privilege of playing Fest 15 in Gainesville, Florida, Pouzza Fest in Montreal, Quebec, and a number of other up-and-coming Fests like Vehicle City Fest in Flint, Michigan, Burly Calling in Burlington, Ontario, Fat Guy Fest in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and a few others too!

As we look forward to next year, we have a few more things in the works. We will be visiting some places that we haven’t been to in way too long, including bringing some Bike Tuff to a new country or two (and a new continent). We also will be heading back into the studio in early 2017 for a few different reasons.

We certainly couldn’t do this alone and owe a huge thanks to everyone who has supported us over the past year. Thanks for all that you do and see you in 2017!
